Perhaps Gardner’s mosts popular rug, Flowers on Water was part of her inaugural silk and wool collection that debuted in 2003. First introduced in Fiery Orange Pink and most recently in “Whisper Palette” Fog, the design was an original adaptation from a 19th Century Kimono pattern and has proven extraordinarily versatile. From tone-on-tone and duotone to much more colorful incarnations under Gardner’s direction, this rug has played rolls from dramatic to supporting in myriad interior settings.
