about this design

butterflies float high
above the heavy rain drops
quite unafraid

Parasols gives us a twirling birds-eye view of scattered raised silk butterflies on an all wool background. Returning to Asian themes here, the design speaks to spring renewal, growth and ultimately freedom, to fly above the rain drops.

This rug is part of the Metamorphosis collection, which blends simplicity with brilliant color to yield visually forceful rugs that also have an element of play and will ground any room. Each rug in this collection has a little Haiku poem, to express its essence and to emphasize the poetic nature of the designs.
